Sappho wrote so lovely love poems. ,With rosy Cheeks and glancing Eyes and Voices sweet as Honey' is one of the lines I found in her book.

Every year, sweet peas return to our studio garden — descendants of my grandmother's flowers. Their climbing tendrils prompt my cousin Robbert to recite Keats' tender words:

“Here are sweet peas, on tiptoe for a flight;

And taper fingers catching at all things,
To bind them all about with tiny rings.”
